  • Imaging from old computers and collecting essential data to their dedicated USB sticks & taking special notes for each desk (246 desk)

9:00 am – 22:00 pm for the second week (10 engineers)

  • Replacing old computers with new Lenovo ThinkPad – Restore data from USB sticks onto the new computers & making sure all relevant data is on each computer. Helping users if they had any problem and fix their potential problems. We made sure all computers all connected to their relevant printers. We also made sure that all emails are being transferred to their new computer without anything missing.

  • Two different sites (2 engineers at the warehouse, 8 engineers at the main office)

  • Job Title: Computer Role Out (1327 computers)
  • Warehouse job description: 2 engineers had to receive computer, connect them to server, encrypt the hard drive according to the company standards, make sure that the right image is being transferred to the computer, label the desktops and pack them again with the right labelling, send them all to the main office in Bank.
  • Main Office job description: 8 engineers, they had to receive delivery from the warehouse, take each labelled computer to the right desk, find the most convenient time with each client (1327 desk & clients) to back up their data and transfer them all to the new computers. Making sure everything is there and supporting any of the desk users with different requests, requests could be about network, emails missing, different windows errors, printer setup, licencing issues, software issues, dock station connectivity problems and VoIP support for each desk.

  • He had problem finding his Printer on his MacBook & iMac through Wi-Fi
  • Managed to connect the Printer to the network and reset it’s IP and change it to Static
  • iMac picked up the IP of the printer and connected to the printer
  • However, MacBook had difficulty connecting to the printer. Our engineer ran few diagnostics on the Mac and found out that some of the OS files are corrupted and that is the reason it prevents the MacBook from connecting to any printer
  • The engineer factory reset the MacBook and the problem was solved.
